Background
|
|
I received the Ph.D. and M.E. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic University, Brooklyn, New York, USA, in 1996 and 1991, respectively. And I received B.E. in Electrical Engineering from New York Institute of Technology, New York in 1989.
From 1996 to 1998, I was with LG electronics Co., Ltd. as a member of the multimedia research lab developing PCS mobile phone systems firstly and then, I was promoted to LG chairman¡¯s office planning future satellite communication systems in 1997.
Currently I am an professor in Electrical Engineering at University of Ulsan, Ulsan, Korea. I perform several projects supported by NRF(National Reserch foundation of Korea), Hyundai heavy industries Co.Ltd
My research area includes high data rate modulation, channel coding, detection and estimation, cooperative communications, sensor network, cognitive radio. I am a member of KICS, IEEK, KIPS, IEEE and IEICE.

Wireless Communication Lab
|
|
As
the generation of
Ubiquitous
World comes nearer, Wireless Communication technique which
is the core and essential technique to be researched and
developed becomes highlighted.
We are interested in
solving theoretical
problems
that find applications in real system in the field of wireless communication.
We are proud of what
we
study and we believe that we can contribute many good things to the future
generation.
Our research areas
are
physical layer technology such as high speed modulation, coding, multiple access
technique and application technology such as Wireless LAN, Wireless Sensor
Network, Mobile phone and etc.
Our Lab is widely open to
whoever
wants to study and research very diligently.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask to the point contact.
